  • i can't access xanga.com at work anymore, they blocked it! Arrggg...been so bare without it, i used to log on every morning to read or update my blog but now...i can't!

but the good thing is, i've been so flat out at work.

i'm getting the hang of taking the minutes of meeting, i used to freak out just thinking about it but now i can actually say, i'm pretty all right.

other than work, the weather in Perth is crazy! It's been so cold through the nights & the crazy storm has arrived.

oh i hate the rain! only because i take the train to work & i hate getting pour on...I'm seriously thinking of driving in to work for the winter season.

however, if i was home & it was raining...that would be another story. I would love just staying in bed, reading my books.

so other than work & rain.

it was my 23rd birthday on Thursday! My boss & a couple of managers had flowers delivery to me! they were gorgeous!

and in the evening of my birthday, my family & i had dinner at "cy o'connor village/pub" in canning vale.

but the offical birthday celebration was the 23rd May 09 at the Raffles Hotel on Canning Hwy!

I had way too much cocktails & it was also a suprise birthday for Alfie. Overall, it was a fantastic night!

    Panchos

We heard reviews about this restaurant, but have yet to try it out until 2 weeks ago when we celebrated Alfred’s cousin birthday.

It’s a Mexican restaurant, and you have to book. It’s not fancy, but the food & service was excellent! It’s not too pricey too!

We were also told; we had to try the famous “fish bowl”. I have to admit, when I heard fish bowl. I thought of “soup”! But I was wrong…

Fish bowl is actually a giant cocktail glass. It’s not on their drink menu; you actually have to go up to the counter and specially order a “fish bowl” and pick whatever cocktail you would like to drink for the night. The cost of it is 40bucks. But it’s so worth it!

    I recommend, “Pina Colala”.

Being all impressed with their service & food plus “fish bowl”. I took the opportunity to organise dinner there for Sally’s 24th birthday last Friday.

And the birthday girl loved it.

After Pancho, we headed down to A(L)ure bar at burswood and contiune on with more cocktails!

    Gossip Girls

I’m addicted to this American TV chick flick, its base on a book series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. Gossip girls revolve around the live of socialite teenager growing up in New Yoke city, Upper East Side.

Serena van der Woodsen is a pretty young lady. serena-rising

Serena and her family are prominent in New Yoke society. Her mother Lily van der woodsen married Chuck Bass dad, S also has a younger brother named Eric van der woodsen who suffers from depression.

    kelly-rutherford-with-blake-lively

S longs for real romance and eventually find true love with Dan Humphrey a middle class guy from Brooklyn.

    serena-and-daniel_521x772

Dan Humphrey is best friends with Vanessa Abrams vanessa-close-up_521x782

and the brother of Jenny Humphrey. remains-of-the-j

Dan has been head over heels with socialite Serena van der Woodsen for many years, and finally snagged his dream girl in the first season of Gossip Girl. He is a aspiring writer, with a good heart and morals.

Dan maintains his close sibling bonding with sister, Jenny and his father Rufus. He does not really fit in with Nate or Chuck.

Every girl has a best friend, and her was Blair Waldorf, sneaker-spokeswoman

they have been best friends since kinder. I have to say, Blair has the most amazing fashion sense. I love what she wears! She idolizes Audrey Hepburn, and has a tendency to be bitchy and controlling!

    gossip-girl-on-rolling-stone-cover

Blair is known as B to Serena, and she is very vain! thought her friendship with S cause her to be insecure at times as a result she is known as Queen B, as she using her charm and wealth to win people over.

    a-fan-favorite

Blair dated Nate Archibald since they were in kinder, she wanted to marry him but found out that he had slept with Serena, her best friends, and everything went down hill. The most interesting thing is, Blair & Chuck hook up in the back of chucks limo and lost her virginity to chuck.

    nate-blair-kiss

Chuck Bass, “I’m Chuck Bass” his trademark line, his wealthy & charming at times. His the most connected kid around over at the Upper East Side, he has a thing for Blair Waldorf and ever since they hook up, he can’t get his mind off her.

    blair-and-chuck-in-tv-guide_521x725 a-chair-reunion

His best mate, Nate Archibald also a very wealthy, must I say BEST LOOKING character which I was praying isn’t gay! Nate has been dating Blair since they were in Kinder, they broke up their relationship in season I and ever since then, he has been hooking up with lots of gorgeous chicks!

and the infamous saying in every episode, they end it off by saying xoxo gossip girls, till next time folks.

Limited edition ‘Hello Kitty’ range by M.A.Chellokittyaccessories_390

M.A.C limited edition range, they team up with Sanrio global consumer product to create a hello kitty colour cosmetic collection.

Hello kitty is 34 years old, her character is usually assumed to be a cat, but she is actually a girl according to Sanrio.

To me, she looks like a kitty cat with the whiskers, i can tell she is a girl...

I’m not a big hello kitty fan; however the range that M.A.C bought out is pretty cool!

I like the word “Limited Edition “and hello kitty isn’t white, it’s black. Wild kitty cat!

Check out the M.A.C site and you would know what I’m talking about.

    http://www.maccosmetics.com.au

And this weekend, I intend to head down to the city to check the out the wild child, kitty range at M.A.C

Since I’m on the topic about ‘hello kitty” I’ll share with you what my superb grand-dad did for me. when i was a little girl.

When I was staying in Singapore, Macdonald’s bought out a range of different culture wedding hello kitty bears. These happened ages ago…I remember reading on “news paper” that people woke up super early, or even camp outside of macca’s so they would be the first to get the dolls.

My grandpa was one of them. He was a superb grand-dad; he queues up to get hold of the hello kitty limited edition bears for me because I wanted them so badly!

It was so cute at that time, however now I’m left with a whole range of hello kitty wedding dolls, packed in white containers. Never been open, still in their plastic holders.

I can’t give them away because my grandpa got them all for me, woke up early just to get them. So even though, I don’t like kitty anymore, I have to keep them. I should try and find where they are kept and snap up photos for everyone to have a look.

  • Eye brows Threading

I’ve been finding for a place in Perth that does eyebrow threading and I’ve finally found it!

I was first introduced by my cousin who threads her eyebrows every month from an Indian lady in Singapore, so while I was on a holidays she took me there.

At first, I was a little nervous. The lady sat me down and wipes my face with a white powder and started doing what she does best. Me, on the other hand screaming “Stop..stoop! It’s too painful” she was about to thread my entire face!!! I was a beginner so it was a NO-GO! I said, just tread my eyebrows.

It hurt a little, but it looked fantastic and it lasted me awhile. Ever since then, I’ve been finding for a threading place in PERTH.

Eye brow waxing can’t beat this! eyebrowthreading

I had a really bad experience with waxing, the beautician wax my eyebrows and she did it 3 times on the same spot. It was painful!

I looked at the mirror and then I looked at her and I said, “Is my eyebrows meant to me this red and swollen?” Her reply, “yes it would take ½ hour to let the swelling go down.” Bull shit!

Not happy with her response, I asked to see her manager. At this time, my eyebrow was bleeding! Yes…bleeding!

The manager was shocked & apologise, she gave me back my money and told me the next time I come in again, it would be free.

Thanks but no thanks. I’m not letting them touch my eyebrows ever again! I was left with a scar on my eyebrows for about a month.

From then on, Mom has asked many of her friends, but no one knew of a threading place.

To my surprise, my boyfriend’s mom came home one evening and handed me a brochure and told me, you should try this place out and let me know if they’re any good.

Browsing thought it carefully, and it must have been my lucky day! It said, “Eye brows treading for $17bucks”

I know a rip off but soooo worth it!

I have finally found an eyebrow threading guru! And it’s not a lady that does it, it’s actually a dude. I was so embarrassed when he started doing my eyebrow cos his looked so much better than mine. Nope, his not gay either, he runs the store with his wife.

There are no chemicals used in this method, so if your eye area is easily irritated by those products, this is a better way to go. The hair supposedly does not grow back as fast and grows back finer! Definitely give it a try if you encounter it.

    Salvatore Ferragamo

Salvatore was born in 1898; he made his first pair of shoes at the age of nine for his sisters to wear on their Christian confirmation.

His most famous invention is the “cage heels” After his death in 1960 at the age of 62. His wife, Wanda and their six children continue on the Ferragamo Company.

Fiamma (Salvatore's eldest daughter died in 1998) inherited her father's inimitable talent and came up with the "Vara pumps" in 1978.

He also designed the infamous red glittery shoe that clicked Dorothy home in the wizard of oz!

Now you must be wondering why am I talking about him.

It’s because I was rummaging through my mom’s wardrobe last night; I always knew she had a collection of ferragamo shoes & bags.

The shoes she has are stunning; unfortunately I can’t fit my feet into them as she is a size smaller. There have been in boxes for gods know how long but they still remain intact and gorgeous to look at.

As for the bags, I yelled out to her…”If you’re not going to carry them, it’s mine to keep!” – I think she didn’t hear me the first time, but I yelled out to her again and she said, just don’t spoilt them!”

Having said that, I was in David Jones the other day and I was trying on the ferragamo ballet flats and I hope they go down in price soon cos I’m tempted!

I’m in love with the gold badge with the imprint of ferragamo.

Just thought I should share my love in this.

  • Over the weekend, I went to watch the movie “He’s just NOT that into you” with the girls; I have to say I totally enjoyed it!

i’m so getting alfred to watch it when blockbuster releases it out.

He's Just Not That Into You

I love the part where the two African women sat on the bench and quoted some of the things guys mention when they break up with chicks.

    It’s not you, it’s me…”

I thought the character Gigi was crazy, and what she does to meet a guy is just so terrible, and pretty funny, she wants a man who says he’ll call and she sit next to the phone waiting and becomes a little stalkeish.

She meets Alex (Justine Long) who runs a pub and he advises her to stop sitting by the phone. Beth (Jennifer Aniston) eventually calls her long term relationship off as it wasn’t going anywhere meaning the next step - MARRIAGE. On the other hand, her boyfriend Neil (Ben Affleck) reckons there isn’t anything wrong with their relationship because he loves her so very much & marriage isn’t going to change it. This is soooo sweet!

Janine (Jennifer Connelly) isn’t sure if she can trust her husband which is her high school sweetheart, Ben (Bradley Cooper) who can’t even trust himself with Anna!!! – Ben was such a dick in this character…wants the best of both worlds!

All I have to say, go and watch it if you haven’t!

The next movie on my list to watch “Confession of a shopaholic”, I can’t wait to watch the part where she freezes her credit card and try to crack the ice block! * Blonde moment *

helena's mate promise her, 2 Future tickets on the day itself, so the both of us risk it and without a doubt he was waiting at the front for us and passed us the two magical tickets!

Well spend day tho.

tuesday - back to work, and i had a 2 hour meeting which i had to take the minutes for which was a drag cos i wasn't feeling so great. I was blowing my nose like there was no tomorrow. My boss and another manager was sneezing and blowing their noses too!  ewwww the flu is back in town!

  • 14 February 2009 is lover’s day.

Restaurants and florists make a killing on this particular day, bumping up their prices so the lovers and admirers get suck into it.

Boyfriends & husbands crack their heads to think of what they should get for their partners, vice versa.

of course, it would be nice to receive a bunch of roses but i personally like flowers given to me on my special day which is my birthday.

So for this year the both of us were being a lazy couple and all we did was headed down to Tony romas at Hay st for a good meal and relaxed throughout the weekend. We had our dinner on a Friday night, slept in a little on Saturday and went for a stroll in the city. Oh I even had my chicken kebabs with cheeesse which i was so contented too! mmmm

    Happy Valentine day Guys!

    17

She just came back to Perth from Melbourne as she was working there for a month and this Friday she is off again to Vietnam, but this time she is relaxing and recuperating.

On Saturday night, we met up with the birthday girl at Brisbane hotel for a couple of drinks, then headed to Metros ( ewwww ) the line to enter the club was super long as it was the last week before uni re-open and metros had a theme, “back to school”

I haven’t been to Metros in a long time, and I don’t intend going back there till a couple of months later.

Two boys came up to me and said I looked bored and then asked if I was new to this club..

    Babies…who led them out?

I liked what Helena response was “I was probably clubbing when you were still in your diapers!”

Anyway to Liana I’ll see you when you get back from Vietnam, we’re have dinner then.
